Throughout history, millions of women have been consigned to back rooms and horrific working conditions. They’ve been sexually exploited, ignored, dismissed as inferior, and forgotten in the history books.
Imagine how much further along we would be as a society if all those great female minds had been listened to, their opinions acted upon, and their influence truly felt. Society would be improved in every way if women had been able to directly impact humanity through their own intelligence and unique strength.
So… the Tradwife movement. What the fuck.
At a time when women are still fighting for equality and safety—and are actively under threat from this rancid “manosphere” thing—the resurgence of the “Tradwife” feels alarming.
Now, I know everyone is entitled to live as they choose. But promoting a lifestyle centred on submission to men feels baffling in an age where women’s rights, safety, and equality should surely be the priority. A subculture that harks back to a time when marital sexual assault wasn’t even illegal is deeply concerning.

My absolute disbelief at this subculture needed a sculpture to sort my head out. I decided the ultimate antithesis would be Artemis—the Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, and pure, untamed independence.
Artemis was fully, unapologetically her own person. The idea of answering to anyone—male or otherwise—was alien to her. While traditional myths stress her strict vow of celibacy, her story has always been about radical autonomy. She skipped domestic life, chose the wild over patriarchal control, and spent her time roaming the outdoors with a tight-knit, loyal crew who hunted, lived, satisfied each other emotionally and sexually, and celebrated life on their own terms.
Whether you look at her through ancient lore or a modern lens, one thing is clear: Artemis completely shatters the “tradwife” ideal. She proved that a woman’s power, happiness, and identity belong to her alone.
Artemis’s radical autonomy is now more relevant and necessary than ever.
